This is it. No better ‘junior / mid’ electronics technologist role in the GVRD. Based in Burnaby, Alpha Technologies conceives, designs, and manufactures many of North America’s electronic infrastructure products from traffic lights to high power distribution systems. A part of EnerSys – the largest Energy Storage Company with 11,000 employees providing the very best to over 100 countries – Alpha carries the reputation of a happy, always learning, ‘courageous’ work environment.
You are an Electronics Technologist closer to the beginning of your career than the end. Maybe a couple of years of experience (2’ish +?) reviewing/understanding schematics toward the Testing and Troubleshooting electronics designs.
Your mission: Provide excellent ‘Design Verification’.
What you get to do
- Recommends solutions for technical problems of electronic deliverables with a ‘moderate level of complexity’ Don’t worry, you will have experienced mentors to guide and to learn from!
- Test, identify and report design problems as this is the ‘heart’ of the job – and what it requires most is your SMARTS!
What you bring to this opportunity is an innate desire to ‘win’ when challenged with a design that is flawed or could be better. Better? Functionality/quality of course, and also applying best practices to produce in the most efficient, cost-effective manner.
You will interface with the most robust, quality, ‘power’ deliverables on the planet and your colleagues all rowing in the same direction.
Make no mistake – this is a ‘junior to intermediate’ opportunity and years of experience are meaningless compared to ‘the clever’ you own and provide. You will be taught best practices by the best.
Likely a BCIT / other Technology Grad who has garnered respect in your current/previous work environment. You want to learn faster than others. You take initiative. You want bigger and better.
