The Vancouver R & D team is centrally located near the bottom of South Granville and manages all new product development. Manufacturing / assembly is performed in California and tied to head office.
Due to pending retirement, presenting a rare opportunity for VP Engineering to lead, mentor, and manage technical talent for new product development.
Very much a hands on role, extensive experience with high level design, embedded systems, hardware best practices, with a product management mindset to interface with global partners and address evolving needs by combining “the best” interpersonal skills with deep experience and knowledge of designing high quality / reliable deliverables. With ~ 12 people in Vancouver (usually ~ 8 on site) the team (indeed everyone) are great at what they do and present an easygoing, friendly environment. People LIKE working there, resulting in near nil turnover.
